The most expensive hidden cost when you travel is that of unexpected medical treatment, be it travelling for business or for pleasure, within Canada or internationally. Travel insurance for Canadians and visitors to Canada allows you to enjoy your trip, without worrying about these hidden costs. If you develop any unexpected illness or injury while travelling, you can rest assured that you will get the care you need, without worrying about its financial implications.

Why Do I Need Travel Insurance?

If you are travelling outside of Canada, you cannot solely rely on government health insurance plans, which pay only a very small fraction of expenses you may incur if you are sick or injured. Similarly, visitors travelling from their home country to Canada can incur large medical costs in the event of an emergency. Many hospitals charge thousands of dollars a day, in addition to any fees for doctors or diagnostic services. If you do not have any emergency hospital and medical insurance, these costs can become a tremendous burden for you and your family.
